A year ago I purchased a 1983 Chevrolet El Camino as a project car. Things change as they often do a it became my only vehicle besides my motorcycle. It has been a challenge keeping it up and running on a consistent basis. Another change happened as well. A business that I wanted to start back in 2001 reemerged as a possibility. I get a ton of looks while in the El Camino and thought that it would be a great vehicle to use for the business, as long as I could keep it running and not breaking down when I have clients to service.
The business is a mobile oil change service, yes, we go to the vehicle's location and perform the service right there along with a light detailing (vacuum & windows) along with the normal checking and filling of fluids that are performed at any quick lube location. This is a business that many other businesses with fleets would use as I would be able to perform the service to their vehicles in their down time at their facility and do many at once.
This would also appeal to anyone that would not have much time to sit and wait for this service to be performed after they had to also take time to drive to a static location, like business people with busy schedules. Parents that do not want to sit with their children in a lobby and having to keep their children from getting into everything and stressing the parent out. They could be doing their normal routine inside the comfort of their homes while we are in the driveway changing the oil in their vehicle. Basically this service is a perfect time saver for anyone.
